I ended up having to download just the printer drivers and separately install instead of using the drivers from the full application, have you tried that? To make sure the printer is installed correctly, I would suggest you to refer the printer user guide given in Dymo's official website in the link below and follow the steps provided to set up the printer.. Generally speaking the Dymo software won't create a real printer 'icon' in the Devices & Printers property page, but rather somehow integrates it into the computer icon along the top row, which you have to access by right-clicking on the computer icon - then I got the accursed 'hourglass' mouse pointer for nearly a minute before it would open-up a menu.
